With the Launch of the Connaught Competition engines hillclimb and sprint Championship behind us we look forward to what promises to be a thrilling season in Irish motorsport, with all eyes on the seemingly unstoppable Paul O’ Connell. For the past 3 years Paul has been King of the Hills, winning the championship in 2007, 2008 and 2009 so this year he is the man that everyone wants to catch!

This year, Rory Stephens, has added some extra oomph to the championship by sponsoring a Provincial Cup with all four Provinces battling it out for the bragging rights! With each Province having very talented drivers it will be a close battle to the bitter end!

The Championship consists of fourteen rounds with ten to count. The first round starts in Co. Clare on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of April so the hills of Ballyvaughan will be alive with the sound of engines this coming Easter weekend. The final round is in Donegal on the weekend of the 4th and 5th of September so there will be five months of hardcore racing to sink your teeth into!
